2023-2024 PHIT Ambassadors

Nancy Loi (she/her/hers) is currently a 4th year student at UCI majoring in Public Health Sciences and minoring in Health Informatics. She grew up in San Jose, CA. Some of her interests include learning about the interdisciplinary of healthcare and technology, EHR systems, and healthcare disparities and accessibility. After completing her undergraduate degree, Nancy hopes to pursue a masters degree in physician associate studies. Some of her other involvements besides being a PHIT ambassador include being an undergraduate public health policy student researcher. In her free time, she enjoys exploring local coffee shops and foods, going to concerts, and thrifting! 

Rithika Nathan (she/her/hers) is a current 4th-year at UCI Irvine. She is majoring in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and double minoring in Public Health and Health Informatics. She grew up in San Jose, CA. Rithika is interested in the use of informatics to improve healthcare and patient access to health resources and data. Her future goals are to go to medical school after UCI and become a physician. At UCI, she is also a part of clubs like Public Health Association and UNICEF at UCI. During her free time, Rithika likes to go on hikes, read, and watch movies. 

Summer Zavalza (she/her/hers) is a current 4th-year at UC Irvine majoring in Public Health Policy and minoring in Health Informatics. She grew up in El Monte, CA and her community is what fuels her passion in solving health inequities. Summer is passionate about improving community health within minority communities through the development of informatics technology and its role in resource allocation. She hopes to pursue a Master’s of Public Health after UCI. In addition to being a PHIT ambassador, she is also an undergraduate researcher within a lab on campus. In her free time, you can find her exercising at the ARC, trying new recipes, and exploring fun new food spots with Orange County.
