Enrollment Updates

Spring 2024 enrollment is right around the corner! Here are some important upcoming enrollment dates: 

  • View date and time of enrollment window: February 10 
  • Enrollment by Window begins: February 25 
  • Open Enrollment begins: March 13 
  • Fee Payment deadline for Winter 2024: March 15 
  • Waitlist release: March 19 
  • ICS School restrictions on graduate courses lift: Monday, March 11 
  • Public Health School major restrictions on all undergrad courses lift: Monday, March 18 @ 12:00 PM
  • ICS School major restrictions on all undergrad courses lift: Wednesday, March 20 @ 12:00 PM 
  • Please keep an eye on your student email for potential updates on enrollment!

See below a list of courses being offered in Spring 2024 quarter that can help you progress toward your PHIT degree:

Undergraduate Students: Health Informatics Minor (or Informatics Major with Specialization in HI) 

Section A – Required Courses: 

  • IN4MATX 173 / PUBHLTH 109 – Consumer Health Informatics 
  • IN4MATX 174 / PUBHLTH 110 – Health Data Analytics 
  • Both courses are cross-listed in IN4MATX and PUBHLTH. Students in ICS and Public Health are encouraged to use their respective course code to enroll. Students who are not ICS or Public Health majors are encouraged to enroll via PUBHLTH 109 OR 110 as soon as Public Health School major restrictions are lifted on Monday, March 18 @ 12:00 PM.

1 Health Sciences course 

  • PUBHLTH 222 – Health Policy and Management 
  • Non-Public Health Graduate Students looking to enroll in a PUBHLTH Graduate Course should email phitinfo@uci.edu for instructions on enrollment. 

There are no offerings for the Foundational course in Health Informatics in Spring 2024. However, we are intending to offer a section of IN4MATX 295: Introduction to Health Informatics in Winter 2025. Please keep your eyes open for future updates!
