Deekshah Dwarakanath

My name is Deeksha, and I’m a 4th year Data Science major and Health Informatics minor! I’m interested in discovering and researching social and environmental disparities in public and population health, as well as how I can use my technical skills for this purpose – I’m currently doing research at the E3 Lab on campus for this! When I have free time, I love to read, go to cafes, and watch movies.

Nyarinda (Nya) Gekara

My name is Nya, and I’m a 4th-year Public Health Policy major with a minor in Health Informatics. I’m interested in learning how to more efficiently use data and technology to improve the quality of patient care and promote health equity. This past summer I interned at Advance OC, where I gained hands-on experience in using data to address community health disparities. Some of my favorite hobbies are crocheting, reading, and playing volleyball. Kourtney Williams

My name is Kourtney, and I’m a 4th year Public Health Sciences major with a minor in Health Informatics. I’m interested in learning how technology can be used to improve health outcomes in medical settings. I’m also on the premed track and passionate about addressing healthcare disparities through research and community engagement. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, going to the gym and watching television.
